Glamour | Michael Kors

Hey lovelies,
Just when I thought my life couldn't get any better, I received an email from Glamour magazine's Jo Holley. I quickly opened it up to find my invite with a plus 1 to the Michael Kors spring 2013 collection launch in London, courtesy of Glamour magazine. An event I had spotted on my second night in Milan after finally getting round to reading my magazines I had picked up at Manchester Airport before flying out. Elated again was an understatement! Electricity was flying through my body as I sat up and thought about what I would wear to such an amazing event! Glamour magazine and Michael Kors? Somebody pinch me now! They’re like my favourite magazine and designer, ever! In my very inbox was an invite to my favourite fashion designer's spring collection and my favourite magazine. I had to read that email again to make sure I wasn't imagining it, literally. It was very true... and I was going to be there, at the flagship store on Regent Street, in attendance with my BFF!

I travelled from Manchester that afternoon, met up with my BBF at the station, had a little chin wag before queuing up outside the store. Throughout the evening we had the chance to try on the new collection, take photos in it and with accessories all whilst having our glasses refilled with Champagne for good measure. Then Julia Yule gave a talk about the spring collection. It had to be every bloggers dream to be there that night, at least it sure was mine and more.

Towards the end of the talk, she announced that she would be doing the giveaway soon and three prizes were up for grabs. 3rd prize - Michael Kors ring, 2nd prize - Michael Kors embellished gold necklace and the 1st prize - Michael Kors Hamilton tote in yellow (a bag I had seen advertised a lot in Milan and wanted). She began announcing the winners shaking the box of cards and revealing the 3rd and the 2nd prize winners and I couldn't help but feel so happy for them and think how lucky they both were to have won.

The room was in silence as she was about to announce the lucky winner of the Hamilton tote seen advertised in the S/S13 campaign. I had my camera at the ready and was positioned near the front to take the photo of the lucky winner. In that instance I imagined winning and seemed to have gone into a trance at the thought when the name was announced... 'Shh-een-aaae-Des-irrr-ree'. I almost fainted as I snapped out of my gaze. It was such a surreal, euphoric moment! I stood in the same spot, my body went numb, my legs turned to jelly, my friend shook me and pointed to me and said 'OMG, you've won!' I was beyond hysterical. I had won! I had won the Hamilton tote! I couldn't believe it. I finally went on the stage to claim my prize, gave my camera to my friend to snap a photo of me with Jo Holley and Julia Yule with the beautiful bag. I grinned like a Cheshire cat because I still couldn't believe my luck. The Hamilton bag came wrapped and boxed to perfection, ready to take home and inside was a note from the manager herself which was just so lovely.

I continued to celebrate my win with copious amounts of champagne before leaving to continue the party. 'A night of Glamour' it sure was, one I will remember forever! x

Sultry Sephora

In Milan I discovered many pretty things, this being one of them, I am kicking myself for not picking up at least three bottles, it's amazing and lasts all day long just as it says on the bottle. I thought Sephora was only available in America so you can imagine my joy when I saw a shop as I came out of Zara. I leapt right over to see what I could buy. I attempted matching myself with this foundation and then just for safe measures I asked a make up artist to match me and he chose this to, (not bad aye).

I just love this little gem and as far as make up goes this is simply amazing! It cost me around 14 euros which I thought was an absolute steal. I so wish we had a Sephora here! I love this so so much. It may call for another trip to Milan.
